Registration Information

The registration process for this is event is quite straightforward, but we felt the need to just make it easier with a simple little blurb here on it. To register, follow these easy steps:

  1. Create a username and password on the Chief Seattle Council website and then login.  If you already have one, login at the top of the site.
  2. Once logged in, fill out the online registration form.  Keep in mind that you will need to make a deposit of $50 to complete the registration process.
  3. Return to the Chief Seattle Council website at a later date to make additional payments.  You will need to login and then click the "My Events" link at the top of the website.

For great events like these many worry about what happens after this event fills up. Well, do not worry! If this event does fill its current 502 slots you can add your name to the "Wait List", which will not cost the $50 deposit . If the wait list breaks a certain point, we will then expand the project allowing those on the wait list to attend.

Cost

One of our personal favorite parts of this project is the fact that the cost is only $295. This price includes the cost of the generous welcome gift, tools, food and safety equipment; which will all be provided to you upon arrival at base camp on your first day. Also for some cases transportation can be arranged.

Although we find the cost to be the perfect price for this project; we realize this may not be ideal for every family. As a result we will provide opportunities for fundraisers which will come out soon. Once you register for the event we will inform you of the fundraisers we have available as they come available.

National Park Links

The majority of the work carried out for ArrowCorps502 will be inside the boundaries of the Mt. Rainier National Park.

The Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest is a forest just outside Mt. Rainier's Northwest border. A beautiful National Forest which participants may have a chance to visit.

The Wenatchee National Forest is another great forest that border's the Mt. Rainier National Park which some participants may get the opportunity to enter.

National Public Lands Day Kickoff

NPLD-CrewI am here to tell you about a great opportunity for you to not only party with some of your fellow Arrowmen but also to get you informed about a great pre-ArrowCorps502 service project. This project is known as National Public Lands Day (NPLD). Many may recognize it as a national event for the public, but you have the opportunity to rock the OA sash on the mountain while cheerfully serving! This is an event you do not want to miss! If you want to get more information, why not get it while partying with your fellow Arrowmen, complete with free pizza. The NPLD Kickoff will be held at the Chief Seattle Council Service Center, it will be on August 14th, 2010 from 9am to 3pm. Be sure to save the date this is an event you do not want to miss!

About ArrowCorps502

ArrowCorps502

icon ArrowCorps502 Flier

ArrowCorps5 brought thousands of Arrowmen from around the nation together to serve during 2008. During that summer, the staff at Mount Rainier National Park asked the Camp Sheppard staff why there was no such service project at their park. Camp Sheppard brought it to the attention of T'Kope Kwiskwis, and ArrowCorps502 was born! mt_rainierT'Kope Kwiskwis Lodge, Camp Sheppard and the National Park Service have a great start on planning ArrowCorps502. All Order of the Arrow members are invited to join us as we help preserve one of the Nations' most pristine National Parks.  We anticipate partnering with other volunteer organizations such as the Washington Trails Association and the Student Conservation Association who have served the park for many years.  Plan now to spend a week of your 2011 summer serving Mount Rainier National Park. Then afterward, why not spend another week at Camp Sheppard doing one of the high adventure programs?
